The Visitor: A Day in the Life of Ridiculous is about a woman, Nora, who is on a mission to find her long lost sister, Tess, who contacted her months ago, before suddenly coming up missing. Her apartment was ransacked and some of her neighbors witnessed her arguing with a man in front of her apartment building.
Until a few months ago, Nora hadn’t seen her sister since she was 12 years old. Nora ran away from home when she was 16 years old, to live with her grandmother, because Tess’ father was sexually molesting her. Nora told Tess that she would one day come back to get her, but Tess’ and her father soon disappeared.
Thirty years later, Nora gets a call from her sister Tess, who says that she needs to see her right away. Tess tells Nora that she will contact her in a few days with more information. Days go by, and Nora doesn’t hear from Tess she begins to worry and contacts authorities, so they investigate Nora’s complaint and respond weeks later that Tess seems to be missing.
